The Trends of Event Technology in 2018 from HKECIA Seminar

We are excited to announce that EventX has become part of the 500 Startups Family last week for their Batch 19 program in Mountain View. Joining 500 Startups will allow us accelerating improvements of our service. With 500 Startups expertise, infrastructure and network, hopefully, we will be able to improve our product and make it more powerful for our customers.

We’re honored to be invited to share insights on the latest trend of event technology at the annual seminar of Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Industry Association (HKECIA) taking place in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Conference Center in early December.

Titled “The Trends of Event Technology in 2018”, our CEO & Co-Founder Sum Wong shared how technology would transform the event industry in the near future, especially with the increase of mobile technology.  Later, we joined a panel discussion with JOS, GES, and Ungerboeck on even-tech space.

Event Tech will go from purely Information-Based (IT) to Data-Driven Technology (DT). Instead of displaying plain information, the applications will provide planners and delegates data insights that will drive right actions.

A New Event App that Sparks Event Engagement

Following our CEO’s vision of event technology, we’re building our latest version of event app. The new event app is able to drive more event engagement with features like chat and contact exchange, in a hope to provide a more all-rounded event management service to event organizers.

We’re also honored to provide our technology to smoothen the event’s registration process.
